Street art in the A6 center
Look at what's taking shape at A6 center this very moment; a street art motive at one of the largest walls in the new part of the center. As you might know, A6 is currently being transformed into a new mall with influences from all over the world, and the street art wall is only one proof of how this is done. To this new world of variation, the street art wall brings inspiration, urbanity and contrasts in colors, expressions and languages. Our AD Frida came up with this brilliant idea and briefed the creators of the masterpiece, local artists Victor Egerbo and Clown, who fulfill the vision of how local meets global at the new center. When finalized, this 16-meter-high wall of art will be the biggest street art work in Jönköping. Read more about it here and follow the work of the artists with #nyaa6.
For a couple of months' time, we’ve had the pleasure to have Linnéa Thörnqvist doing an internship here at Invinn. She’s a third-year student at the Media and Communication Studies at the University of Gothenburg, and while at our place she has focused on digital opportunities. Thank you Linnéa!
Joline Bäcker does internship at Invinn
Last week and for an additional seven weeks, Joline Bäcker will be doing an internship here at Invinn. She's studying urban development at Lund's University, and while at Invinn she will be devoted to our ongoing place branding projects.
For the new district Forsåker, which we've laid our place-branding hands on, our project manager Victoria is working as communications manager to make the district happen. The old industrial buildings from the paper mill are kept, and so will the old water power plant be. When operational again, after 35 years of rest, it has the possibility to provide all residences in the district with renewable electricity. Read more about it at both GP and Mölndalsposten.
This year, we didn't go for the traditional Christmas smorgasbord but for something different. Completely different it turned out. Undoubtedly for the very first time our office was decorated with samurai swords, guns and brass knuckles. All dummies, but still. We got to enjoy a tasting menu consisting of seven edible tributes to various hip hop legends: Wu-Tang Clan, Sean Price and Tupac just to name a few. All prepared, presented and performed by Pasteleria 413. No need for Invinn to get involved in any way here, except for the eating part – the uniqueness of this concept is already taken to perfection.
Never before has our amphitheater been so filled to the brim as when the comedian, actor and TV personality Henrik Schyffert visited us last week! Yes, we know, improvements can be made when it comes to our instant publishing, but since all his references went back to the 90s, a few days' delay shouldn't matter in this case. He told us about the unnecessary act of killing what everybody already knows to be a bad idea since ideas tend to have enough self-awareness to realize their own uselessness and die by themselves. But also about ideas' ability to rise again and be of value in new contexts. What also got us thinking was the quote he made himself: "What is bottom in you is bottom also in others".
Took the opportunity to do some guerilla marketing while in Copenhagen running errands. Because as true place branders, we want to make a difference and an impact, and in this very case also show everyone that we've been here.
Put a ® on itLook at what will embellish our office from now on, a certificate of registration of our own! ’Brandfulness’ - the concept stating the whole Invinn belief in one word. \ˈbran(d)-fəl-nəs\: being aware of your reputation while paying attention to doing things differently and by doing so deliver superior value.
Hasselblad AmbassadorsHasselblad’s devotion is and has always been to produce the finest camera equipment known to man. The cameras are masterpieces in themselves but the photos taken with the them are the true pieces of art. Hasselblad is proud to work with top of their game photographers who now has got their own personal profile and gallery page by the update of the look of Hasselblad’s Our Ambassadors gallery which Invinn has designed and developed. Be stunned by their awesomeness!
KvarterETTKvarterETT is now officially inaugurated! Platzer Fastigheter's building commonly known as GP-huset has gone through a transformation where Invinn has developed the new identity, the brand strategy, the name and the logotypes for KvarterETT as well as its new bistro, Kunveno. For the celebration of the finalization of the transformation and to inaugurate the building, Invinn was asked to develop a concept for the opening party. So yesterday Platzer hosted a block party at the inner courtyard, which was filled with decorations, lanterns, plants, waitresses in flower wreaths and straw hats and guests mingling to the sounds of the live jazz band. The transformation might not be that obvious from the outside but all the more on the inside, which now is open for everyone to enjoy and use as temporary work space!
FaktumWe support the debate about homelessness and social exclusion. We believe in a safer society where injustices are payed attention by investigative journalism. In helping people to help themselves. Therefore, we support Faktum in their mission to make the world a better place for single individuals but also for all and everyone of us. Åse Henell, CEO at Faktum, visited our office yesterday and we got to hear her talk all about it. And we do as we were told to do; Tell everyone we know that many of the Faktum magazine vendors accept payments by card or swish (cash is still king for all of them)!
Svenska StadskärnorFor two days our Annelie Bjerkne has done a brilliant job as moderator for the Annual Conference of Svenska Stadskärnor together with the host himself, the CEO of Svenska Stadskärnor Björn Bergman. The record high amount of delegates, 400 people from over 60 towns and cities, got to hear about trend spotting, and inspirational examples of urban developments and how to work together for a better city life! Invinn contributed here as well since our Marie Anfinset held a lecture yesterday about Invinns previous and current projects. 120 curious people wanted to listen to what she had to say, and it has to be a good sign when you have to be upgraded to a bigger lecture hall cause your audience can’t fit in the one planned, right? And congrats to Varberg, the city centre of the year!
A6 CenterThe transformation of A6 Center has now started! But what is it going to transform into? Invinns involvement in this project has lasted for about two years including the development of a new position for the shopping centre and the project is in full swing right now. So we know for sure all about the transformation! But for the rest of you; there will soon be a visual and verbal concept spread around the centre with little hints about what is to come!
Veckans AffärerToday Karin Andersson Sjöström, CEO at Invinn, spoke about urban development at a morning seminar arranged by Veckans Affärer. Vinngroup hosted the event and staged a beautiful sunny breakfast on the roof top terrace.
Chalmers Teknologkonsulter ABLast week we filled our spaces with some young blood - students! Chalmers Teknologkonsulter AB visited us and was educated in brand management and the importance of having a strong brand. Our Brand Strategist Christopher, with Linnéa as sidekick, held an inspirational lecture about this, our favorite subject. It was on this exact day, one year ago at the same event that our trainee Carin first caught the eye of Invinn and look how that turned out!
Selma stadHow funny it is when you can show the world what you have been working on for a long time! Invinn has in almost two years time been involved in an extensive brand developing project for an whole district where some bits and pieces finally have been launched. Today, the name, the logo, and the web site for the district around Selma Lagerlöfs Torg finally have gone live. And the new name is Selma stad, and the vision is to create a place full of life with the past, the present and the future all in harmony. Take a look at selmastad.se
Faktum galaOf course Invinn went to see what might be Sweden’s most important gala, the Faktum gala of the year. And it exceeded all our expectations! Thanks for an amazing night with breathtaking performances and an even greater belief in that what Faktum does and stands for are of highest importance for all and everyone of us. And if you weren’t at the big theatre and missed out on the live streaming at gp.se as well, or if you were there and watched the live streaming but want to relive the night at least when it comes to the music, buy the new Faktum album ”Det ordnar sig volym tre” from any of the Faktum vendors.
Urban project in GothenburgOne of the most extensive urban development projects in Gothenburg is currently running in Mölndal. In the new district Forsåker, seven real estate companies are about to build up to 3 000 residences and facilities for offices, retail, education and culture, right in the middle of the old industrial buildings from the paper mill. What more is, Invinn is part of the project as well. Check out more details at forsaker.se
Thanks for a great after work West Sweden Chamber of CommerceYesterday Vinn together with the brand agency Invinn and the innovation catalyst Pollen hosted a creative after work with the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce. During the evening there were activities and inspirational presentations held by Karin Sjöström Andersson from Invinn and Jonas Thorgren and Jens Nordberg from Pollen. We discussed how good ideas are born, thrived and realized. How important is a strong brand, what is a strong brand and how vulnerable are brands in a constantly changing world?
Thank you!2015 was amazing. The days flew by when working with demanding, yet fun and inspiring customers in our new creative office spaces overlooking Gothenburg. We loved everyday. Now let’s disconnect, kick back, heat the “glögg” and relax for the rest of the year. We’re back on January 4, ready for new challenges together with you. This year, our Christmas gift is to support Gula Båtarna (The Yellow Boats), an organization saving lives in the Mediterranean. By supporting, they can stay a little longer and hopefully save some more people. Warm wishes, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! See you in 2016.
MAPIC – The international retail property marketThe annual MAPIC Fair was held the 16 to 18´th of November in Cannes. Three of our colleagues were on site to get inspired, catch the latest trends, benchmark and find new partners. This year, we noticed a clear message: A modern shopping centre is not only a place of trade and venue it’s also becoming more and more a place for experiences. This makes it essential for each place to be unique and to create its own identity. We agree, this is exactly what it is all about – Be different, Be unique!
A cosy and inspiring evening with our friendsToday, we woke up with smiling faces, remembering yesterday and the cosy get-together last night. The evening was highlighted by thoughtful words and insights from both Karin Sjöström-Andersson and Hans Johansson. After a few inspiring hours of conversations and networking, the winners of the amusing competition “What’s the scent of Invinn?” was revealed. How about these winning words? “The scent of Invinn is the scent of tree and leather - because of the quality, the genuine and honest confidence, and the seriosity.” No wonder we’re smiling today. Thank you all for coming by!
Using a new positioning to fuel growthOne out of ten adults suffers from chronic kidney disease. Most of them are not aware of their disease or what it involves. Diaverum is one of the world's leading renal care providers. The group's 8,500 employees serve 26,000 patients in 20 countries in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Australia. Invinn worked with Diaverum to bring their new positioning to life and give people suffering from chronic kidney disease a new experience.
The Diaverum brand was born eight years ago when Investor sold Gambro Healthcare's global network of dialysis clinics to Bridgepoint Capital. Since inception the company has incorporated additional clinics and developed new ones, created new services and introduced Diaverum to new, multifaceted markets such as China and Saudi Arabia. With a new brand positioning in place Diaverum wished to update the logo, bring renewed order to the brand structure, better coordinate the look and feel of their clinics around the world and empower patients, physicians and nurses through new learning experiences.
In addition to updating the logo to better match the company's new positioning, Invinn helped Diaverum work out a clear brand hierarchy and a clinic interior design guide. However, most importantly Invinn worked with Diaverum to develop a novel, fun and educational medical academy called the d.ACADEMY, reinforcing Diaverum’s spirit of competence, learning and sharing. The academy contains a whole series of user friendly training modules and serves as a focal point for activities moving forward.
Through the d.ACADEMY patients get free access to information and knowledge about their disease – helping them improve their quality of life. Diaverum and d.ACADEMY are not so well known in Sweden, but to many chronically ill people around the world they make a big difference. “Invinn has been critical in the creating of the d.ACADEMY. They are extremely committed, reliable and creative and have formed an essential part of our team” says Christina Sterner, SVP Marketing and Communication at Diaverum.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world""Be the change you wish to see in the world" is a quote often attributed to Mahatma Gandhi. And it sounds very much like something Gandhi would have said. If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be? How can you make it happen? At Invinn we decided to help the street paper Faktum to craft a new strategy for their worthy cause.
Faktum is a street paper that works to provide income for homeless and other marginalised individuals. The paper is run as a not-for-profit organisation generating income through magazine sales and advertising revenue. Vendors buy copies for 25 kronor and sell them for 50 kronor, retaining the proceeds. Faktum sought out Invinn for strategy counsel and a marketing campaign. The goal: convince prospective advertisers to run with Faktum and in the longer term increase advertising revenue.
Invinn volunteered its services and expertise to help Faktum hone its marketing strategy for B2B customers. After interviewing key members of the Faktum team to better understand the challenge and the fine art of newspaper advertising sales Invinn started to identify the right compelling sales messaging. Together with Faktum, Invinn developed distinctive and relevant messaging and an anonymous, targeted guerrilla marketing campaign for media agencies. We clarified audited circulation (almost 40,000 copies per month) and total readership numbers (over 130,000 per month) and we highlighted the specific demographic characteristics of the readers, proving the street paper is effective and geared towards a broad audience. The guerrilla activity was supported and followed up by a direct marketing unit the next day, revealing that Faktum was the sender.
The guerrilla marketing campaign generated significant media interest and combined with a fresh media kit it has brought Faktum new advertising sales opportunities. The media kit provides relevant arguments for why advertisers should supplement their existing advertising, but also highlights Faktum’s overall creativity. “We’re grateful to have partners like Invinn who are committed to solving complex strategic problems and delivering impact. Their work will help us to reach our target groups and spread our message with renewed confidence,” said Åse Henell, Managing Director.
